John 20:21
Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I am sending you.” A team from West Virginia will be traveling to Cazale, Haiti, to conduct an eyeglass clinic through Real Hope for Haiti. They will be in Haiti June 22-July 1. The team of 6 will be screening villagers, helping to fit folks with reading or prescription glasses, as needed, and will give out sunglasses, eye drops and Creole New Testaments. A second cooperative team from North Carolina (Seaside UMC) and West Virginia will be in Haiti June 29-July 8. This team will travel to Mizak, Haiti, to do an eyeglass clinic through HAPI (Haitian Artisans for Peace International) and some construction work will be completed by some team members while there. A one day trip will be taken to Bainet for an eyeglass clinic there. Many thanks to to all who have contributed donations, money, and/or time to make these trips possible. Check back once missioners return for an update on their experiences. |
